Privacy Policy

Beam is a morning alarm with a live smile ritual. This policy explains the information used to make it work and the choices you have. Beam does not require an account or show ads.
Information kept on your iPhone
Your optional first name, alarm times, selected sounds, positivity theme, custom message, trial start date and app settings are stored on your device. Beam uses Apple AlarmKit, with your permission, to schedule and show alarms. You can change alarm and camera permissions in iPhone Settings.
Live smile detection
When you open a smile ritual, Beam uses the front camera and Apple ARKit to detect a smiling expression on the device. Facial-expression measurements used for this live check are not saved or uploaded, and Beam does not make a face-recognition profile.
Optional smile photos
If you turn on daily smile photos, Beam saves one image from the front-camera feed when you complete a smile, up to one per day. You can turn this off in Beam’s settings. You can also choose to take a separate photo in the smile album. Beam saves resized photos in its private app storage on this iPhone, protected by iOS file protection and excluded from device backups. It does not add photos to your iPhone Photos library or upload them. You can delete individual photos in Beam’s album. Deleting Beam removes its locally stored photos and settings.
Purchases and service providers
Apple handles Beam’s free seven-day trial transaction and optional lifetime purchase through StoreKit. Beam checks the Apple transaction to provide and restore access. If you have an earlier Nite subscription, Beam also uses RevenueCat to check and preserve that entitlement. RevenueCat may process an app-specific identifier, purchase and entitlement information, app and device details, and technical diagnostics needed to provide its purchase service. Apple and RevenueCat may retain transaction or service records under their own policies and legal obligations. Beam does not receive your full payment-card details.
What we do not use
Beam does not sell personal information, use advertising trackers, or upload your live smile camera frames or optional album photos. We do not use your camera for marketing or train a face model from your smile.
Retention and your choices
Local settings and photos remain until you delete them or remove the app. You can revoke Camera or Alarm access in iPhone Settings, delete smile photos in Beam, or stop using Beam and delete the app. Apple purchase history and RevenueCat purchase-service records may remain under their respective retention policies. If you have an earlier Nite subscription, manage or cancel it in your Apple subscriptions. For privacy questions or a rights request, email support@endurofit.app.
Earlier Nite versions
Earlier test versions of this app were named Nite and offered Screen Time challenges. Beam removes those features and does not request Screen Time access. Existing subscriptions are checked only to honour eligible paid access.
Children and changes
Beam is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the app changes and will show a new effective date here.
